I don’t know about you all, but I am hoping for a good summer.
Hope you have found some good reading material you are enjoying or movies you have seen that you like. Since I have put my pencil down to writing fiction, well, novels that is, I have taken upon myself to read more romance books. Found one author who I enjoy and whom I think can write intimate scenes unlike I’ve ever read. So good, that it would not be appropriate for one to read in a public area. Also, I like how this author portrays female characters, good, but with issues. Love how they are not made to be perfect, and can do all and be all like the fiction character Superwoman.
A couple of correspondence back, I had mentioned what my dad’s thought was on when to give up. Although, I was awfully young when him and I had this conversation; future discussions helped me see that he was making a point for me not to dropout of school. I actually had no plans to do so, just hit some bumps during that time that made it a challenge for me to stay. As I have gotten older, I try to follow the lyrics of Roger’s song. ‘You got to know when to hold’em, know when to fold’em, know when to walk away and know when to run.’ This may sound silly to some of you, but I must say, it has worked for me in certain situations. Yes, it can be easier said then done. But when your instincts are screaming at you to go, I think it is one far sign to listen. When I contemplated a career as an investigator, I had seen events of those who did not leave a situation in time, that resulted in a tragic way out.
